    help!

i just got the sims 2 and when i try to play it this keeps popping up:

"Failed to find any direct 9.0c compatible graphic adapters in this system. please make sure you have a directx9.0c compatible graphics adapter and have installed the latest drivers provided by the manufacturer. the application will now terminate."

i know that i have directx 9.0 installed though.

Sorry I missed you last night. I'm even sorrier to tell you that you don't have a compatible graphics adapter (one that is on the Maxis list of supported graphics adapters)

You should first try obtaining the latest drivers for your graphics adapter from:

    http://www.sis.com/download/download_step1.php

That new driver is 18 months newer than the driver you are using and it might work.

If it doesn't you need to consider upgrading with a proper dedicated graphics card (not possible if you're using a laptop).
