Did the OfB Patch Fix Anything?

I went to the official sims2 website, and at the Forum (BBS) there are a few threads complaining/talking about new bugs found, or new strange things happening in their game, and even threads stating a bug they reported previously, hasn't been fixed because it isn't in the list of the patch

Now Im worried about starting my game since I already patched it

 

I didn't install the patch yet (I always wait) but it doesn't look like they fixed the moveobjects cheat since it is not on the list.

 

Well I tried my game just now, so far no crashes, but what I did notice was, each time after my sim's have finished cooking their food (no matter what food) it disappears!

It started out with the BBQ grill, so I thought maybe the grill was bugged, (my sims we're starving mind you) so I made my simmie use the stove to prepare herself something, so she cooks etc etc, and booms the food disappears when it reaches the part to place it on the plate (where the pot turns into a plate)

The patch seemed to had make somethings worst, I quitted the game without trying out the OFB yet because I fear more bugs will arise :(

 

OK, yikes, I may wait to install that then.

I havent had anything fatal happen from OFB and I back up my game regularly. So why court trouble ...

 

Yeah I think it's best not to install the patch LOL because my sims game is a new clean installation (I deleted everything and reinstalled) so I doubt it had any bugs, and after I installed the patch, this happened

My advice is not to install the patch till a new one is out I hadn't notice any other bugs YET since I only played it for 30 minutes and got frustrated over the food disappearing bug and decided not to explore further for bugs

 

I was reading what the patch did fix (I don't have OFB yet, STILL debating if I want to buy it...) and I laughed when I saw that they prevented the Social Bunny from getting killed. Since when was THAT a problem?

 

I know. I thought that was kind of disappointing, actually.

But maybe it caused one of those fiery ball from space thingies.

 

I read at the forum a moment ago that not everyone is experiencing bugs. Some people said that they installed the patch and everything is working fine for them, wherelse most people are facing more bugs which includes old ones.

It makes me wonder if they will release another patch to fix all these problems since not everyone are facing them, because if they don't, I guess I cant play my sims :(

 

Installed the patch and only problem I have is that (as per usual) it reset all my sims at home ... thank goodness for cars to get the kids back to school!

Disappearing food?? You sure the food isn't going into the sim's inventory? There's a big difference between have/serve food and make/make many tha noes! ;P

 

I would be happy if that would make a patch that would give me back my valentine head bobbles and clothes that I stupidly didn't back up when I had to reinstall ofb.

 

Can't you just download them again?

 

I haven't had any issues yet either, I'm scared to download the patch. I'm waiting a while as well SBW.

 

Well I ask my simmie to "have lunch" and the food we're missing, for the BBQ grill, I had my sim select "serve lunch" but they disappeared Im still wondering if a new patch will be made or this patch is just it

of course I can, I just have to look in the right spot that's all.... silly me.

 

Well you know there's got to be another patch. They can't possibly make everyone happy with just one. I'm wondering if the patches will be included on the family fun pack. That may be an incentive for more people to buy it.

Well hopefully they release it and soon. I've been reading around the forum about news on a new patch release, but hadn't seen any, so I'm just a little worried

I guess for now I'll have to rely on pizza orders for my simmies everyday or just use the energizer painting

 

barglitches not fixed.

went to a downtown restaurant/disco and the upstairs dance machine and bar were right above the downstairs units... however they are invisible. the dj is doing his thing with his adoring fans and the bartender is serving her seated customers...but no can see stools. bar or music thingy.

Also at home only one bar allows anything but juggling.

can anyone tell me exactly how to upload screenshots?

 

Well, there's at least one new bug post-patch that I've experienced... YMMV.

I have a house I built based on a haunted house Halloween decoration I have. With OFB I was finally able to replace the silly-looking square roof on the house's octagonal tower with... you guessed it, an octagonal roof! This is the only house I have used any of the new roof styles in, and all worked fine pre-patch.

But now, every time I save and exit that lot, the rest of the roof on the house is automatically stretched to match the slope of the octagonal section. It looks absolutely ridiculous (I'll try to remember to get a screenshot next time I play). I went back into the lot, and used the roofslopeangle cheat to set it back to 45, and that worked... but as soon as I saved and exited it stretched it again.

Has anyone else experienced this?
