    Help!! I Need A Date!!

I really want to meet someone new and date them. Everytime I talk to them for a LONG time, I press "Hug" to get us to fall in love. But they refuse to let me hug them. :(

Any dating advice? My sim is lonely.

Also, where are some good places in the game to find a good sim to date?

Thanks, and try to respond quick! :D

I don't think you're allowed to bump your topic twenty minutes after you made it...correct me if I'm wrong, someone?

But anyway, simply talking to a sim for a long time doesn't increase their relationship that much, actually. I also know that the Friendly Hug needs to have a pretty high relationship for it to work. My advice is to make your sim do a variety of friendly interactions with the other sim, such as Appreciate>Admire, Entertain>Tell Joke...After a while you can also do Play>Tickle.

Also, making your sims hug each other doesn't make them fall in love. It only raises the relationship, as all other interactions do (except for fighting, arguing, etc.) Once the lifetime relationship score reaches, say, 40, you can try making them hug, and then flirt a little, but only the low-level ones such as Charm and Suggestion. After their first kiss with one another, they usually develop a crush, and are also best friends (I think that's messed up. Why would you be best friends with someone only AFTER you've kissed?) After that you can continue doing the same friendly interactions, but also mix in a Friendly hug, an Appreciate>Backrub, and also flirt with them. When the lifetime relationship score reaches 60, you can do the higher-level flirting and kissing, like Hold Hands, Romantic Kiss...

I'm a very cautious simmer when it comes to trying to make sims fall in love, because I hate seeing that Relationship minus sign above their heads. But you don't have to be so careful, and you could easily nurse their relationship back to normal after a rejection...so you can speed things up more than I do.

As for your question about dates, you can call the Matchmaking service from the telephone and ask the gypsy for a blind date once she gets to your lot. You have to shell out a lot of money for a good one that matches your sim's personality and turn-ons, though. The maximum is $5,000.

Thanks! I'll try that. I've never seen the "Matchmaking" in the service section, but I'll check again.

The matchmaker comes with NL so if you don't havethat EP you won't have that option.

Well, he/she mentioned that he/she wanted the sim to date more people, so I figured he/she had Nightlife...because of the dating option.

OH Well maybe, I just took it as more of a general term. I mean my sims "dated" before nightlife, the EP just added places that they could go. My most successful dates are still at home though.

I absolutely agree with person. :) Also, you can simply call the sim you want your sim to date and get the sim to talk to them over the phone several times a day (if you can catch them at home LOL ). Their relationship is boosted and you can become friends with them without doing anything much. After the sims are friends it's easy to get them to fall in love. :)
