Any help is appreciated as I am not 100% computer oriented. Hopefully I supplied the right information above. Thank you!

    Where would I find it?

LOL The optical drive is little drawer where you put your shiny discs. Josh wants to know if it's just a CD drive or a CD writer or a DVD drive with or without CD writing capability or DVD writer than can do everything except make a cheese sandwich.

    Ahh!!!

Eek! This is exactly what's happening to me! I am so clueless on what to do. Mirelly, I went on that website. I followed the instructions, and they didn't work. I'm going to look into that website further though, because it's at least a start.

Usually if one CD Drive can transfer the file and another one cannot then that means that the CD drive that cannot transfer the file is obviously bad. In those cases I usually yank out the drive, open it up and blow it out.

    You could:

    1. Check the CD for scratches/smudges. Clean it.
    2. Copy the contents of the CD to your hard drive and install from there.
    3. http://fileforum.betanews.com/detail/Nero_CDDVD_Speed/993604508/1 Download NeroDriveSpeed and slow down your CD drive. (Slowing it down will enable it to read the CD better.
    4. Blow out the CD drive with compressed air.

I just have a quick question that may sound dumb...how do you run the Nero tool? Thank you so much for all of your help!

Sadly, no. I think it's a scratched disc. I just went out to Target and got myself a new disc today.

When I came to this thread I thought it was Deja Vu - all over again. This is the EXACT problem I am having down to the letter and the little puncuation marks.

Exept I only have one drive - a DVD+/-RW drive
I have noticed this though, this type of problem seems to be common amung laptops esspecially. If anyone finds out what the answer is please email to: nicholas827@verizon.net although I really hope I find the answer to the problem before anyone tells me.

EDIT:Ok.... something is wrong this is not the thread I posted this to: now im frusterated
