Hopefully I supplied the right information above. Thank you!
LOL The optical drive is little drawer where you put your shiny discs. Josh wants to know if it's just a CD drive or a CD writer or a DVD drive with or without CD writing capability or DVD writer than can do everything except make a cheese sandwich.
Ahh...lol I have two drives actually: NEC DVD+RW ND-1100A and HL-DT-ST DVD-ROM GDR8162B Hope that's right.
Ahh!!! Eek! This is exactly what's happening to me! I am so clueless on what to do. Mirelly, I went on that website. I followed the instructions, and they didn't work. I'm going to look into that website further though, because it's at least a start.
Usually if one CD Drive can transfer the file and another one cannot then that means that the CD drive that cannot transfer the file is obviously bad. In those cases I usually yank out the drive, open it up and blow it out. You could: 1. Check the CD for scratches/smudges. Clean it. 2. Copy the contents of the CD to your hard drive and install from there. 3. http://fileforum.betanews.com/detail/Nero_CDDVD_Speed/993604508/1 Download NeroDriveSpeed and slow down your CD drive. (Slowing it down will enable it to read the CD better. 4. Blow out the CD drive with compressed air.
I just have a quick question that may sound dumb...how do you run the Nero tool? Thank you so much for all of your help!
