Business Reporters . . . I used to have them come around alot to report my businesses, but lately after I have recieved Best of the Best for my one stores, they will rarly show up for any of my other businesses. Does anyone know when they usually show up?
Gosh, you're lucky. I haven't seen a reporter since the very business I opened had a visit and (to my surprise) got a positive report. Since then nothing. My only sim with a level 10 business sold up to take the profit rather than hang around for ever waiting for a (the) reporter to show up again. I strongly suspect the reporter is bugged but the evidence is, at best, apocryphal.
I've had more than one reporter show up at more than one business. So far I've only gotten good reviews ... but I suspect it's a random thing.
My first reporter gave me a bad review but what does it mean? Will it discourage other customers from coming round?
Possibly, but you can overcome it by improving the business. I'm surprised mine got good reviews, actually ...
i read actually reporters come in two fashions. Sometimes they will be undercover and sometimes they will be there as plain as day.

From my experience they all seem to be undercover...yet plain as day. My secret shoppers have all been average Joe(sephene) NPC's that just happen to whip out a notepad every few minutes. As soon as they show up I just have the shop owner puppy-dog after them telling jokes, asking about intertests, admireing them, and only occaisionally offering a basic sales pitch. Never a bad review, and in once case a BOB award and a new friend resulted.
