    AAAAUUGH. So frustrating!

I'm sharing my pain with y'all because no one in the real world gives a ***. :D

I spent all of yesterday setting up two people to cheat so a lesbian couple could have a baby and then it turns out that because the guy in question is a cousin of the woman's spouse, they can't have woohoo!!!

Argh! I've had spouses want to flirt with their spouse's siblings before, and now I can't cheat with a cousin?

Grrrrr. And so disappointing. That would have been one beautiful, loved baby. I just wanted them to have a kid of their own that would be genetically close to what they'd have if they could.

    So sad. :(

Did you try to make the guy cheat with her, instead of having her try to cheat with the guy?

I've seen this a lot in brothers-in-law and sisters-in-law: where one of them doesn't have romantic interactions available but the other one does.

Like, when Romeo was married to Juliet, and his brother Mercutio couldn't flirt with Juliet, but Juliet could flirt with Mercutio. Did you see what options were available from his point of view?

They can't try for baby from his POV. They don't live together. Only the girl can initiate try for baby.

    But, nice thought.

    Ohhhh! True, forgot about that.

Did you get them to fall in love already? If not, maybe you could get them to fall in love at his house. Maybe that would unlock the woohoo option when you go back to her house?

That's assuming that romantic interactions are available to him at all.

    I'm reaching here....

Nope. Can't fall in love. Can't flirt. Can't do anything you shouldn't do with your brother. Except he's NOT!!!

He's not even her wife's brother.

I could have them get divorced and then try again but then their little hearts would be broken.

Nope, I think I'm just gonna have to go for plan B, which is find another stud. :(

Ah - The joys and frustrations of the Breeding farm...Sometimes I feel bad running their little Sim Lives in order to fulfill MY Master Plans of Simworld Domination...

MWAHAHAHA! (Rubs hands together with maniacal glee...)

The worst part is, I think it's the game being arbitrary. Technically, you should be able to fool around with anyone who isn't related directly to you.

I mean, sheesh, it was going to let Morgan and Max fool around and they ARE related.

Breeding farm, heh. That's a good one.

Have the game's rules changed with the OFB pack? I've been noticing that since I installed it *none* of my sims get the TFB option until they are engaged or married. If so this is definately upsetting... my sim neighborhoods have always been selective breeding experiments.

    TFB option? What's that?

    Try for Baby?

Werebear, it certainly hasn't gone away in my game. I have a romance sim who is about to have her 4th child from her various affairs. No engagement or marriage required! ;)

Ohhhh ... thanks. You don't need to be married or engaged, Werebear. I had a different lesbian cheat on her wife with a friend and they had a baby, no problems.

I just like breeding my own sims when I can, rather than adopting. Gay couples make it tricky, not impossible, just tricky, because the baby stays with the mom, but lesbians, hey. Your spouse isn't ALWAYS home when you are ... heh heh ...

SBW, I'm wondering if you have a mod installed that messes this up for you, like JMP's Romance Mod? It won't allow romantic interactions with anyone other than a sims SO. So, if your lesbian is coming on to the married sim, he's going to turn it down because he's married. ;) Nice to see them finally have some morals, but I play like y'all do, and my simmies have the morals of a common house rat.

Uh, no, some of my sims cheat left and right. I don't have that mod. The game just decided to thwart me, is all.

Actually, it will, but if your target sim has an SO, is not a romance sim, and is being targeted by another sim, he may resist instead of accepting everything.

Hey, I like that idea. I don't really like it that some of my sims are so willing to accept advances when they've got a loving spouse at home.

For shame, you little knowledge sim!

OK, just an update and proof that the game is just messing with me:

My sim can't have a baby with her wife's cousin, but my other sim can lust after, and flirt with, his brother's wife, so presumably could have woohoo with her if he wished.

Tell me how this is fair. :( In both cases the woman in question married into the family, so I fail to see the difference. But, since I can't fix it, either, on to option B.

I think the game is a bit confoozled.

That is so messed up. :( I hate having a storyline in mind and not being able to play it out. I hope they manage to get their baby some other way. (Is it Piper and her wife who are wanting the baby?)

Yes. I wrote about it in my thread today.

Sigh. Mallory and Piper have almost the same genes so that would have been kind of like having "their" baby, not to mention it would have been beautiful.

But Max is a good second choice. Hopefully it will turn out like him, personality wise ...

I had the same problem (sort of) so I just cheated and used the insimenator. At first i thought that if i had a boy it would look all girly, but so far so good :D
