Installation = Problems. A couple weeks back, I uninstalled TS2 due to some download problems, that were very confusing to me. Anyway, now I can't install it again. It gets to about 40% (disc 2) then says : A problem occured when trying to transfer the file 'TSData\Res\Sims3D\Sims03.package' from the media. Do you want to retry to copy the file, or cancel the installation?" Obviously, I click Retry. 41%. The same thing comes up again. I click Retry again. And again and again and again. It FINALLY gets to 100%, and it just stops. It just sits at 100% until I click Cancel. Also, throughout the whole installation it never asks me for discs 3 or 4.I'm going to try and contact EA Support and see what they say. I posted this new thread just in case anybody knew how to fix this w/out me contacting them. If not, does anyone know how I contact them? Any websites? I live in the US, so phone numbers wouldn't work. Help please?
Did you read KatAnubis' comment about scratched discs in your previous thread, Ginger? Your explanation was very clear by the way. I does sound like you have a damage problem on that disc. See if you can repair it. Else the problem requires you to ask EA for a replacement disc. (See Kat's message)
I'm going to contact EA Support first, and see what they have to say. If they think it's a scratched disc, or maybe just don't know, I'll get a replacement disc. And that's my plan!
