Strange error!! Help! i just installed TS2, and i began to play. The first problem I noticed was when I was creating a Sim - i was on step 6, where you choose your Sim's sign and personality traits and you choose their ambitions. When I scrolled my cursor over the ambition choices, a yellow box would appear that said something like "##### <missing thread> marriage " or something to that degree. It would usually give some hint as to what it was really supposed to say (when i scrolled over the marriage ambition, it would say marriage in the box, as shown above. if i scrolled over the family ambition, it would say family in the box somewhere, etc.) So when i clicked on the ambitions, nothing other than the box appearing happened. so i don't know if i actually chose any ambitions. - Also, when i scroll over my Sim's ambitions in Live Mode, the same error message occurs. And some of those error messages in Live Mode don't give any clue as to what they are in the error message, so i have to guess what it is according to the picture. The second problem i noticed is when i'm in the neighborhood and i wanted to purchase or bulldoze a house, a purple/blue box would show up with the picture of either a bulldozer or a house with a pricetag, but there was no text. i could still click "okay" and the action would happen, but i couldn't actually read what i was doing. The third thing i noticed was that when i wanted to tend to my Sim's needs, i would open their mood bar, and the bars would show as normal, but there were no words underneath to tell me what each bar was for. So i have no idea what my Sim's need more of!! Can someone help me find the missing threads???
Hmm ... you might be having memory problems. See the Frequently Asked Questions (in my signature) and post again telling us your system specifications. Also confirm that you are playing with the game disc in the CD drawer.
