    Question about businesses in OFB

Ok, my question is how can a SIM make money owning a bowling alley, I tried it and didn't make any money, lost more. I put up one of those money machine thingies and the people spent more time viewing that then doing anything else, They didnt order any food, drinks, or even dance, they just stood there looking at that thing. Is there a way to charge the people to bowl?
Another question, I hire people who have great badges in selling, and when I assign them to sell items, my business rate goes down and the people get mad, how can I improve this?
I am new to this game, and just starting out, any help would be greatly appreciated. :)

I think that when they're looking at the ticket machine, they're trying to decide if they want to buy a ticket. Maybe try giving them a basic sell so they buy a ticket, and then they should partake in the activities on the lot. This is just what I'm thinking from reading the OFB guide. I've never tried a venue myself.

This is because although they have the badges, they're not smart enough to know when to use what sales tactics. The more effective ones that you get with higher badges actually tick the customers off if they don't have any sort of positive relationship with the salesperson first. But when selling autonomously, Sims will always choose the highest sales social available to them without regard for this. That's why it's best to have your playable Sims do the selling, so that you can learn what works and what doesn't, and let your autonomous Sims do the jobs that don't require any intelligence.
