Can I have more than one Download folder?

I have been downloding things like crazy from millions of sites, unfortunately when I reach 3.76GB I cannot add anything else. I still have 111GB left on my hard drive, so I know there is room, is it possible to create a 2nd download folder, & will the game pick it up? Thanks so much:)

Um, no. Only one downloads folder.

Is your hard drive partitioned into 2 or more drives (eg is there a D: drive with the 111GB of space and it's the C: drive that is full?)

No it's only partitioned into 1 drive.

Sorry I didn't get back sooner.

Josh might know more about this. I think Windows might be having problems with the number of files in your downloads folder rather than its size in gigabyteage. The only problem is that the only numbers I can find referred to increasing the view limit to 8,000 files ... which seems a little sparse. My own downloads folder 1.12GB and that's nearly 4,000 files.

    See where I searched: here

Aside from that I don't actually know any reason why Windows would give the impression that a folder is too large ... that's just craziness

Make sure you have run an error check on the volume in question ... (right click the drive >> properties >> Tools >> Top Button)

What you can do is to group objects and hacks into subfolders within downloads ... but unless you have OFB then I don't think it is possible to do the same with skins (clothing, genetics, or body meshes ... though I could be wrong even about that)

Frankly though with 10,000+ downloads if they're not already sorted into subcategorires you have sure got your work cut out.

One other question ... Are playing with Administrator privileges on your PC? ... can't actually think of reason why that would make a difference but it seems like an intelligently dumb question to ask ... (maybe I'm in training to become a MS support worker ... )

PS Hope you have a back up of that catalogue of downloads ... and of your neighborhoods ... (you'll be needing a DVD burner ... so hope you have one of those as well ;) )

Mirelly's right, try putting some downloads into subfolders and see if that works. It's sounds like windows can't fit all the files into the one folder.

The NTFS file system (default by windows xp) can handle a file over, um, a lot more than 3.76GB.

My own downloads folder is a huge 2.17MB!

Why not just come right out with your own shameful admission to profligate use of every download button you see, SBW.
