Homework My kid came home monday and completed his homework before he went to school tuesday morning. He came home from school on tuesday, I've searched my house and there's no homework anywhere. Do kids and teenagers come home every school day with homework? And that homework is due the next school day? Or is it a weekly thing?
They should have homework every day. If you can't find it on the lot, watch the child closely as he comes home from school the next day, he will put his homework down on top of the other assignment. You'll have two assignments for him to do, but at least you'll know where he's putting them!
i have sometimes had to leave homework til the next day cos the kid is too in the red to do it and keeping them happy while doing homework every day is quite hard, especially with more than 1 kid. do you know if this effects school grade, cos it doesnt seem to. thanks
Yes, it does, although I'm not sure exactly how. I think that if you go to school without having done your homework, your grade stays the same... or possibly drops a little bit but not as much as if you had missed school altogether. Where on the other hand, if you go to school in a good mood with all homework done, your grade goes up.
If you neglect homework for more than 2 days your grades will suffer and the kids might be at risk of being taken away if any are younger than teen. Pescado's macrotastics makes homework soooo much easier. Instead of having to find the ingeniously hidden little piece of paper you just click on the kid and say "do homework." They stop to kick flamingos or gnomes (if you've got them), use the bathroom, eat or sleep if they need to and then go back to homework. Voila. Problem solved. The only "manual" homework required is the first time, when you have someone show them how to do it. That's very helpful for better grades.
