    what do i need?

and does it HAVE to be on a comunity lot?

Oh, and is it possible to ahve a home run buisness that does not kill all sims involved? Seriously, strangers invade the house and mess with the babies....

First, open a home business. Have the person you want as primary owner do it. Click on the person (if they have a cell phone) or the phone or computer (if they don't) and choose business/open home business.

You need at least one bakery case (found under shelves) and a cash register. And an open/closed business sign. Oh, and a kitchen for making your own baked goods, of course. Though you can also sell wedding and birthday cakes. To restock you need to put the homemade goods in the business owner's inventory. Anyone can make or restock them, but they have to be in there for "restock" to work.

Put the items you want to sell in the case. Click them with the little price tag and choose the price you want to sell them at. I find "average" is good, at least for starters.

You can have a bakery on a home lot. Put it on the front lawn, in the garage, or in a separate little building. Or, in a room of the house that can be easily separated from the rest of the house. It of course needs an external entrance, which can be the front door, or a special bakery door. People who live in the house can come and go as they please.

You need to lock all external doors that DON'T lead to the bakery to anyone but household. If your bakery is inside, this means locking the door from the bakery to the rest of the house. Don't worry, the maid/repairman/etc. can still come and go as needed. However, if you want to have people over, like for a party, you need to remember to unlock the doors.

Oh, and a bathroom for customers is helpful if you don't want puddles.
