If you had a vampire cat, would it be able to turn into a bat? I feel like it would want to chase itself... And what if vampire cats turned the mice they caught into vampire mice? That would be too intense for me. We'd have vampiric rodents scurryng around, out of control.

I'd like to see a cat turn into a bat. That would be cool.

But personally, I'd just like a glowing floating humming rock pet. Maybe cobalt blue.

 

Hey, they have Sir-Bricks-A-Lot, a pet rock might not be that much of a long shot. There should be customization for pet rocks. Glitter and sequins and googly eyes and so on. That could make some sims' lives even more sad and pathetic.

I'd want my rock to be sentient. Sir Bricks a Lot is just, well, a brick. I get a kick out my sims pretending to teach it tricks, though.

P.S. I'm SBW for short. My daughter made up my name. I'm sure yours has an interesting story as well.

I wonder if you'll be able to plead with Death for your pets, like with the sims. Or if you could try and resurrect them. Then you'd be able to get zombie pets. Not as entertaining as vampire pets, but still interesting, nonetheless. Also, I hope they include enough new pets items to be able to make pet shops with OFB. I don' t know, there are too many possibilities with this one. I hope they put the extra effort in and make the pets more realistic and more like sims than in unleashed. But that might be too ambitious. Oh well. Fingers crossed I guess.
What aspect about your sims would you want to carry over to the pets? (death, sickness, genetics, zombism, vampirism, etc)

 

My cat already wants to chase himself.

He thinks his tail is a seperate animal that could attack him....

he's so funny.... he'd make a good sim pet.

Sick pets would make me neurotic.

 

think of the career aspirations... Vet, animal trainer, dog washer, dog walker, pooper-scooper....

will they be able to give unwanted kittens and puppies for presents? Will there be a pound and animal partrol.

You know, I lurked for about 3 months before posting, and after creating an account, because I was afraid since you all knew each other I would be intruding! There is a definite group of regulars here, and now that I'm one of them I think I was just being silly, but I bet there are tons of others like me.

 

I felt the same way, although I probably didn't wait as long before I started posting. I've always hated the idea of...what's the word...cliques? o ) And I hate to think anyone feels like they're intruding. I bet Josh would be REALLY upset about that.

And really, anyone who's got stories going (SBW, Chee-Z, Kimblee, HelloKit, Agent_662001, and yours truly (I know I've missed somebody else )) would LOVE to have comments and questions posted about the stories.

OK this is a PET thread. Lemme see...I really do want a ghost pet, preferably a cat. I wouldn't have to buy catfood for a ghost. Hopefully not a litterbox, either, but that might be stretching it.

Spore won't be released until the first quarter of 2007, so unfortunately we still have a while to wait until the glory is experienced.

My biggest hope for Pets is that there will be about the same amount of options for appearance and personality for the pets as there are for the sims, but that might be too much to hope for.

P.S. My boyfriend and I have been talking nonstop about how excited we are for Spore, and how when it is released, we'll never leave our appartment!

I so agree about pet making options. If there isn't a CAPIE (Create A Pet) and if pets aren't even added to Body Shop then half the potential will be missing.

 

My husband will end up a Spore widower, too. I'm saving all my spare change because I suspect my computer will need some upgrades to be able to handle a game like Spore.
