Amazing Car Crash Near My Home A couple of miles from my home there's a typically mad British road that seems to attract accidents like a candle attracts moths. There was one the other day that was a doozy. The car shot off the road, flew 10 metres thru the air before hitting dirt then bounced back into the air and flew another distance to crash into a house ... the impact was 12 feet off the ground! At 3am they were probably coming home from a nightclub. Young people are so foolish. They expect to live forever. I grabbed a satellite view (via Google maps of that house. The red line and arrow shows the path taken by the car As can be seen they thread between 2 massive oaks Neither of which would have been as forgiving to hit as a nice soft brick wall I know the danger of hitting trees. I lost a friend to a tree at the age of 21 who overestimate the safe speed for a bend on another dangerous road :(
Woah! :shocked: They were lucky not to have been killed outright! Yep they must have had the foot to the floor for that much of an impact. The poor home owner though - he must be sick of this sort of thing happening all the time. I crashed while driving a car at 60mph but luckily escaped with nothing more than whiplash and shock. It too was on a bad stretch of road - an accident blackspot - even though I was well within the speed limit for the area. The farmer's metal fence had only just been replaced the week before from a previous accident - needless to say he wasn't thrilled lol. The car aquaplaned on some standing water, not visible at the time. Kinda put me off driving again.
I was in a car crash when I was a baby. A woman was driving on the wrong side of the road with an eyepatch on. Arrr, me hearties!
I got in a carcrash when I was young, too. There's this road on the way to my cousin's house with something wrong with it so my mom had trouble turning left, and then this lady in a bright red sportscar like veered the wrong direction and...yeah. The details are really fuzzy, my mom always says that throughout it all I just kept sucking on my binky.
