If I replace my default skintones...

Then make a sim with said skin, and one with a diffrent custom.... will the second custom still be dominant?

I hope not.... Helane's are so pretty...

    *sigh*

    So, anyone know?

I would suspect that if the game is programmed to treat the CAS custom skin as dominant then that's what it will do regardless of what we stick in the default file. That's my guess. Never tested the theory. And yes, I think it's a shame.

My CAS sim guy married a townie woman who is very pretty. He's not pretty. They had two daughters who look exactly like him. But this is not evidence of my conclusion about skintones because I had no haleane default skintones downloaded at the time. I'm just making small talk. :p

    I love you, ya know.

By the way.... how DO I make them my default?

That's complicated. The easiest way is to download someone else's that they've already coded for you. Helaene has some but her site doesn't seem to be fully "up" anymore. There are some on MTS2, too. Search for "default replacement skins."

They make a big difference, if they're done right. Some of my sims is spooky, they're so realistic, especially in game. I like the ones with hair on the arms and chest for the boys. How many hairless men do YOU know?

If you want to code it yourself you're going to have to search the web for tutorials, as it's not that simple.
