    the weirdest glitch

I had the most weird glitch happen today.

Rachel, the wife of my favorite family was a day preggies not showing, when she got stuck waving at me for help. the lot debugger didn't help nor removing the recently bought custom furniture, I deleted her 3 times but she just got stuck by the waving and yelling by the mailbox. I had to let her go into aspiration failure and wait for the grimreaper.

She died the same day as her daughter transitioned into child. I'll try to post a picture later of her.

her daughter and husband still have hopes of bringing her back to life.

Aw! Sounds like she was a victim of the mystery pregnancy disease but got stuck in the process ... was there no-one around to plead for her when Grimmy arrived? How sad is that? ;)

Speaking of weird glitches, lately my sims have been merging together when waiting to pick up the tip jar. I've had it happen to three pairs of sims so far. While Sim A is standing there about to pick up the tip jar Sim B comes and stands IN Sim A. I posted a picture of Jack and Julia merged, but it's happened twice since.

It's easy enough to fix, but very funny to watch. Just move Sim B, and Sim A picks up her tips.

I've had more than one strange thing like that since installing OFB. I suppose the game just gets buggier the more you add to it.

Oh, another funny thing, not necessarily a glitch, but if you have a bowling alley on an upper floor and are playing the floor underneath it while someone's bowling you can see the ball rolling through the air.

The first time I saw it I thought I was imagining things. :D

lol I'd love to see that. It sounds like the same thing that happens to bathing sims sometimes. If they're on one of the upper floors having a bath and you go down stairs, you can occasionally see the naked sim floating in the air above the downstairs room...bathing themselves. LOL :D Very funny, and kinda disturbing ;) , to watch.

Yeah. I had a floating sleeper one time too. He was in midair, no covers or anything.

Not a glitch but I didn't wanna start a new thread.

It's the expression on the girl's face. From left to right, Justin, Julian and Bhajat. Justin is a pleasure dude and keeping him in the gold can sometimes be challenging. The best option on this particular day was to invite a sim on a date ... enter his chum Bhajat who is pretty keen on young Justin ... just not so keen on his oicky little brother, Julian. So halfway through the date Juss decides he wants to watch TV ... and so does Jules. I imagine we can guess what Bhajat thinks

I have been having a weird glitch, too. After a few hours of game-play on the same lot, my sims will get start shaking and won't be playable. They'll just jiggle back and forth in mid-step, frozen like a broken record. If I leave the lot and then reload it, they'll be fine.

Yeah, I get weird stuff too, all the time. Lately my sims haven't been able to pick up a toddler and "put toddler here" if they're on a different floor. I have to tell them to pick up the toddler, then "Go here" and then "Put toddler here."

If I were to improve the game I'd give the parents more options, or at least make this all one movement.

For example, you could just select the sim, and click anywhere in the house and you'd get an option to Put ... here. If you had more than one kid you'd get more options. Simparent would then find kid, pick kid up, move to spot, put kid down. Voila.

Yesterday little Rebecca Sawyer got stuck in her highchair. I finally figured out you need to click on the chair to let her out. Very annoying. (I've been feeding them cereal since someone told me I can do that. I think it's cute.)

Yeah I'd like more child and baby interaction options. I was really disappointed that adults couldn't pick up children ... that was so cute in TS1-Vacation. But with babies and toddlers a sim holding baby should have the option to to at least be sent to a chair to "sit with baby" ... maybe even watch TV with toddlers ... what would sim toddlers like watching? Yellytubbies? Burb The Builder? Wash Cloth Wally Wavy Pants?

OK, lost me on the last one. But still quite funny.

It would be nice if, upon learning to walk, sim toddler could then navigate stairs ...

I wish you had more interactions, and that toddlers did more toddler things.

The toilet play is realistic, but where is incessant following of their siblings? Where is the kitchen pan orchestra?

    My sims need more migranes.

I'd also like an infant option for extended cuddling.... it coul;d increase both social and fun for family sims.

Oooh, I love the pots and pans idea. That would be cute.

More toys would be nice, too. Like balls and dolls. Building blocks. And oooh! Finger paints. That could get messy ...

I read somewhere (and you probably already know this) that toddlers can play together with the toy box. One toddler gets a toy out, another toddler gets a toy out, and they play separately but they talk together and create relationships.

    More Weirdness

Marylena was outside with a basket of groceries and the kids were running for the school bus ...

I missed the "how" it happened. I just snapped the evidence. I shall now be trying ever after to make the same thing happen again, but when I am actually watching ... should be a good way of wasting a month of Sundays

Sorry for the older post but could locate the most recent... Imagine my surprise when 2 gardeners got out of the truck... but it started to look like a boatload of migrant workers.

Any way we could lobby the Sims Poobahs for these?? I'd love to see them in the next Expansion Pack...!! Especially the kitchen pan orchestra, following the siblings, and the migraines.

Watch someone post in that there's a hack for it somewhere already. :)

On the topic of weird glitches, for awhile there anytime I installed an upgrade I'd get some Sim standing buck nekkid in front of the shower, and then walking thru the house to the shock and horror of all. That was pretty funny. Not even pixelated either! (And yes, they were as anatomically correct as your average Ken and Barbie.)

They've corrected that recently as now they spin around and get the clothes on right away. Wish it was that easy in those famous dreams some of us get once in awhile!

i definitely agree, toddlers/children should have more random, spontaneous moments. because that's how it is in real life, you never know what a 5-year-old is gonna do next :mischievous:

you have some pretty good ideas; i wouldn't have thought of those. lol 'kitchen pan orchestra' :scratchchin:
