    Multi-Story Restaurants...

    Hey folks,

Just wondering if any of you have tested any multi-level restaurants. I had made one, and it seems like people didn't use any level other than the main floor. Did anyone else notice this, or am I an exception to the rule?

    Thanks,
    John

There a danger with any community lot that has restaurant podium in that the dadratted maitre d' is apt to take guests on a walking tour of the building just when you don't need it. The more tables you put in the more likely the silly old fart is to choose to seat patrons at tables that are miles from the podium. Imagine the congestion as the lines of hungry would-be diners grow at the podium ...

Eer, what was the question, again? No I haven't tried it myself, but I saw enough shenanighans in some of the Maxis made NL lots to put me off trying to run a restaurant. ;)

LOL :) Somehow, that'd figure. I don't blame you for not trying to do a restaurant--It seems as thought it'd be a lot more trouble than it's worth.

I guess all my restaurants will remain one story, boring affairs... :p

    Thanks,
    John

I made a two story "Tavern" that had the resturaunt upstairs and the club/bar section downstairs to even out the attraction-factors for my sims. The podium is at the top of the stairwell on the second floor, and I made sure that there wasn't a huge space for the tables, only about 10 or so.

I've got a strip mall with an upstairs restaurant. I hate strip malls in real life. I made one to be ironic because I'm just that way. But my sims use it a lot.

It's got a grocery store, clothing store, cell phone machine, coffee shop and the restaurant. Plus chess tables.

What more could a sim need?

Anyway, they use the restaurant just fine. I've got several restaurants in multi-story buildings, but the tables are just on one floor. I haven't tried spreading them to two floors. But having the dining on one floor and other activities on the others works just fine.

OK. Thanks for your input, I'll have to try it again. :) Maybe now that I've reformatted Windows and everything it'll work better.

    Thanks again,
    John

If you put a cell phone podium in a shop, do you recieve the cash from it?

Do you have to restock it?
