How do i hire a chef in OFB? I just got this game a few days ago, and my sim just started a restaurant. It has a podium (with a sims manning it) a few tables And a few servers. However i hired a person i thought would be good as a chef, but i dont know how to make him the chef! I dont see the option anywhere. In other words HOW DO I HIRE A CHEF FOR MY RESTAURANT??!!! PLZ HELP!
If you click on the stove you should get options for assigning that job. There's another way to do it too, but my mind is blanking on the exact steps. I just remember working with one of the tools (? in the little thing in the upper right corner under employees perhaps) that let me assign jobs that way. I'd try the stove first and see if that doesn't work. You may also want to play around with things like clicking on the employee himself and see what his "assign jobs" possibilities are. Just make sure that s/he has enough cooking points to do your menu. Otherwise you'll need to go through the menu and remove items s/he is not able to make without having it turn out badly part of the time.
K i just tried clicking on the stove and it said assign job, so i clicked on that and then it said all the names of my employees, so i clicked on the potential chefs name and then it said all these foods i could assign him to make but not assign as a chef. Any suggestions?
Did you assign him to make those foods? I never had a problem with this, but I never had a chef with less than the full 10 cooking skill points. (Servos automatically have 10 cooking skillpoints.) Try the little thingy with employees up in the right hand corner, as well as clicking on the employee himself. It's got to be in one of those places.
