    is a bakery possible

Im not sure if this is where I need to place this question but I am desperate for an answer. I am wanting to make a bakery but when I buy the industrial stove I cant bake and when I use a regular stove I cant make what I bake for sale. Any one know what im doing wrong? All or any help is appreciated. thanks

Hi, Shy. Welcome. There's a bakery display cabinet you need to buy from the business collection. Its the only way to mark up for sale food that your sims cook. Note that sims can sell anything they can cook and that group meals and single servings are treated as spearate items so a sold out single serving can't be restocked with (or from) a group meal of the same type.

And you can't sell your leftovers. I've tried. :D

It's actually not going to be specifically "Bakery." The display is the one that looks like it could be for any prepared food (maybe object, too? I dunno, haven't tested it yet), with the rounded glass front... that's because you don't just have to have a bakery. You could sell prepared foods and whatnot.

    Hope that helps,
    -John

You forgot, owner of a very sharp axe.

To answer the question: You can sell anything your sim can make, whether it's baked goods, other food, toys, robots or flower arrangements.

To keep food fresh you must use the enclosed shelf in the shelves section, and mark all items for sale using the price tag thingy. Just put one or two of each kind of item out. If you choose Make Many ... you can make "restock" items that will go to the sim's inventory. They should go to the "lot owner's" inventory, that is, the person who started the business, but it doesn't always work. Sometimes you just have to move them to that person's inventory yourself.

If they're in lot owner's inventory you can restock as needed and nothing ever spoils.

Oh, and you can pad out your bakery by selling wedding and birthday cakes if you like. That way you'll always have something to sell, as you can restock those automatically. Make sure to buy them at wholesale prices though, or you'll pay too much.

    Welcome to the forum, then!
