    washing hands

does anyone know how effective that "wash your hands" sign is for the sims. its a small sign in the decorative group and says something like, please wash you hands blah blah blah. does it actually encourage sims or even guests to wash their hands? because i have never seen anyone wash their hands after using the toilet. not even the cleanest of my sims washes her hands. odd..

I always make my sims wash their hands after the toilet -even if their hygiene bar is full. Hand washing is a personal OCD of mine, and I cannot bear to see sims use the toilet and walk out without washing their hands, it's disgusting lol. So, I always make them wash their hands without fail. Not sure about that sign, but I wouldn't trust my simmies anyway, so I make them do it. I'm ebil. Mwuahaha!

I don't think the hand wash sign has any effect. I think handwashing was eliminated from the game because it adds too much time to a simulated whizz making the whole procedure just too tedious.

LOL Hugz. That is a bit OC. But then I'm the one who who so can't stand bad table manners that I edited all my neighborhood's headmasters up to 7 neatness points because they were all such pigs ... well one wasn't and I forget which one, now

LOL I never knew how OCD I was about hand washing until I had to be drug tested for my new job, and was not allowed to wash my hands until the test was complete. EWWWWW!!!

    Okay, back to the topic:
I have noticed that the hygene bar barely raises when a sim washes their hands. It's almost pointless. But, it is a telling sign if you are studying a sim on a community lot as a potential mate to decide if they are neat or sloppy. Another way is to watch them eat. They sling the food everywhere!

You absolutely must either wash your hands or take a shower after using the toilet, I've learned.

When my sims don't they get sick with a cold or the flu, and that's a pain in the patoot. Plus, they could die. And they give it to everyone else!

My sim Isadora had the flu while pregnant, poor thing. I watched her like a hawk.

And I had an entire household catch it right after a wedding. Someone used the toilet during the party when I wasn't looking. :(

Now I've got bathroom uses you in every house. It helps, but sometimes they still, for some reason, don't always shower. Even if they're in the stinky danger zone.
