Download problems All of my downloads are fine, unless they're a lot download or custom walls & floors. At the moment I am putting lots in LotCatalog, and walls & floors in Downloads. But for some reason neither will show up at all! Like, the lots don't appear in the lot bin and the walls and floors don't appear in build mode in the catalogue thingy. I've been on Mod The Sims 2's download checklist but it hasn't helped. I'm not sure what I'm doing wrong. Objects and CAS stuff works fine. Just lots, walls and floors. Please help!
Lot downloads are usually files with the Sims2Pack extension ... note that the Sims2Pack may be zipped or rar-ed and will first need to decompressed. These have to be installed. Sims2Pack files are self installing. Just double click them and they open automatically with the the built-in Sims2PackInstaller that came with the game. It should first ask if you want to install the custom content and then tell you it has been done. Since walls and floors are made with Homecrafter many of those may also be Sims2Pack files. If you have a lot it can be tedious installing them. QExpress from MTS2 is a useful tool for installing mulitple Sims2Pack files.
