    Wierd problem.

I haven't been able to play sims2 since I got my new computer. It has well beyond the capabilities to run the game. When I double click the game icon, I get that first little splash screen, then my screen goes black and the "Your monitor is working correctly" message starts scrolling. The only way to get my computer back is do a cold shut-down and re-start.

I hope someone can help me with this. Thanks in advance for your time.

Could you post up specs on your computer? Sorry if we missed it, we get overwhelmed sometimes with support requests.

Sorry I took so long, I've been busy and offline for a while, and just saw this today.

I'm a little technically challenged, can you tell me what you need to know and where to find it? Thank you SO much!

Wow--judging by your specs, you should be able to play TS2 with no problems.

Yes, I'd venture to say you've stumped us--or at least, me. Have you checked support.ea.com to see if they have any helpful articles related to this?

Yeah, I went there and looked around, and I called Gateway tech support on the off chance there was a problem with my system, but I couldn't find anything. I had heard that EA had a phone number you could call for support, but I couldn't find it. Guess I'd better keep looking, huh?

    Thanks for trying!:)
