what happens if..... a male sim moves a girlfriend into HIS house and then they have a child or even a few children. what happens if: 1)one of the parents cheated and the other one hated them and moved out or 2)they just fell out of love e.g. they kept arguing, what would happen to the child/ren would the mum still visit it? and if the dad had more children and had a wife would the children see those children as their brothers and sister? im really curious thanks
I did this with some of my sims, on purpose. I have one female sim who is a little...umm...marriage happy. I think she's on her 4th marriage right now, two divorces, one death by satalite. The current sim she married is an elder, so she'll get married again once he passes away. She has had at least one child with each husband, twins with the one who died...so 5 kids so far. Each time she cheated on her husband, and if the child saw it happen or if they broke up because of it, the child would be "furious" with their mother for a time and also with the new guy, even if it was their step dad she cheated on the child still got mad. The children do all recognize each other as siblings, even though they have different fathers. Of course some of them haven't met yet as I left the kids with their fathers once she cheated and divorced them, but they show up in the family tree. Two of them have met and they recognize each other as siblings as well...ie:family kiss shows up. Mom doesn't visit on her own, if you wanted her too you'd have to have your child call her and invite her. Unless she randomly walks by that is. then just greet her. The one thing I don't like is that there is no way to set the relationship as a "step-parent". The oldest abandon'd child was pretty much raised by his new step-mom. Now that he's an adult he has the option to flirt with her...but he was a toddler when his dad married her. I wish he would be able to recognize her more as a mom since she has a better relationship with him than his own biological mother. That's the only gripe I have about the whole situation. no, they can only be married to one sim at a time. The sim I used for this was a romance sim as well.
