sims 2 pets from what ive seen, pets take space in the family. and knowing a family can have only a maximum 8 people per household.. would i be able to add a pet when it comes out in stores? i have a 8 member family already. can i still adopt? or would i have to use a cheat or whatever.
never mind! i found the answer myself.. but for those of you who are wondering... i found this on the sims 2 website supersimmer25 (Jul 27, 2006 3:07:46 PM) Will pets count as a member of the household? MaxisHunter! (Jul 27, 2006 3:07:46 PM) Yes they will (dogs and cats), but they dont count against your 8 Sims. You can have up to 8 Sims and up to 6 pets, but we're testing still, so there's probably going to be a limit on total number of characters -- we have it set to 12 right now.
I'm glad pets wont take away from the regular family spaces, Thats one thing I didn't like about Unleashed in the original.
i didn't even realise that there were expansion packs for ts2 other than university until a few days ago. my sims 2 dvd doesn't install anymore so i waited till my friend got bored and gave me their old one. so are any of the packs any good or are they all "ok"?
I agree. University has lots of features, but I understand most of them are bundled with the other EP's. The one thing Uni does give you is you can get six want slots, two saveable. And four new careers that pay better than the standard ones. Young Adults are sims at their most attractive, and college is good for sorting out potential mates. Other than that, it's kind of boring. I use it as a staging ground for my stories but fast-forward through all the studying. I think it lasts too long. But yeah, NL and OFB are both a lot of fun. NL expands your sims' personal lives and is my favorite. OFB adds a whole new dimension of "going to work" to the game that makes it more challenging.
I agree about University lasting a bit too long. It's fun, and I like to play around at College occationally, but most of the time I just want to fast track a sims education so they can get the better jobs. Love the natural science career path. But Pets looks AWESOME I can't wait for it. It's the one thing from the original Sims franchise I have really missed.
supposedly you can get a LTW in one of those four career tracks but I've never seen them. Does anyone know the trick? Maybe the parents have to have gone to college already?
Nope. I'm on generation 6 of a family that sends everyone to college, so that doesn't work. The only way is to use a hack.
Go to Mod the Sims 2 and do a search in the Downloads section for Uni career LTW or something similar.
