Cannot Locate CD-ROM? Whenever i try to open the sims 2, this pop-up comes up( see below), i managed it to open once, but next time i tried it happened again Can Anyone Help!
If you read the fine print you will see that it isn't really a problem of locating your CD-ROM. The game disk won't work if there is CD/DVD emulation cloning software (like Daemon Tools) installed on your computer. You have to uninstall that software before the game will work.
Other programs that could be interfering are Nero and clone cd/dvd. Just press ctrl+alt+del go to processes and hit name, in that list find any of those mentioned programs and close them then try running your sims disc and you shouldn't have any problems. Otherwise if it still doesn't work, you'll have to delete them entirely which is a pain.
