    Those Darn Bills!!

I hate Having To Pay Bills In The Sims 2, It's Not So Much The Money Because I Use The Motherlode Cheat All the Time, But The Inconvienience Of Having To Get Up And Pay Them. Does Anyone Know A Way to Stop Bills From Arriving, They Drive Me CRAZY!

    ThanK You! ;)

NOOOOOO!    Don't do that! Disaster! I made that mistake once (because the mailbox was just in the way) and destroyed the whole lot. Literally got a hole in the middle of my neighborhood.

Just pay the stupid things. The bills come on Tuesdays. Send your sim out to the mailbox to get the mail. As soon as he has it in hand, stop him on the spot before he wanders back into the house to put the mail on the table. That's a waste of time. Anyway, if you X the action, he'll put the mail on the sidewalk. Have him pay them immediately. Over and done with. Took a minute.

Bills actually come twice a week - Tuesday and Thursday. If you get Monique's hacked computer from MTS2 you can pay them online instead of having to go out to the mailbox. Also, I think it's JM Pescado who has a "payatbox" hack which forces your sim to immediately set the bills down and then pay them, instead of carrying them all the way into the house. But the computer is the easiest I think.

danom, I wonder if you could stop capitalizing every word in your messages? It's hard to read.

Macrotastics has a feature called Pay Bills that lets you just click on a sim and havet hem do the whole thing themselves, no work on your part. It's also a handy way to see if you have outstanding bills, whether they're in the mailbox or lying around somewhere.

It gets rid of the hassle and my bills are always paid on time now.

I do find this whole discussion amazing; paying bills takes hardly a moment! How do you justify all that time spent sleeping?????? What are you doing with all those precious extra 2 minutes every Tuesday and Thursday?

It's not so much that as I always forget to pay them, or my sims take them and leave them somewhere and I can't find them. I'm just not good with remembering stuff, is all.

I used to get stuff repossessed on a regular basis.

If you don't, well good for you.

By the way, if you put a cheap end table near the mailbox (just across the sidewalk from it) the sims will always put the bills there.

Yeah, but who wants an end table on their lawn? :p

Mine always went to the table closest to the front door, so I often put a cute little table there. :D

that's fine til someone leaves an esspresso cup on it. and home work goes on the floor by the nearest desk or in the parent's bedroom.

True...What I do is to place the park bench out there near the mailbox, and then use the end table that matches the bench. Then I add some lovely landscaping, or maybe a tree. I end up with a nice little outdoor seating area where my Sims can sit when waiting for the taxi, or while waiting to meet the neighbors, and it doesn't look like it's just an end table on the lawn, waiting for the mail!;)
