    HELP!! white written sims

ok, now this is what i've got. the gme runs perfectly (i've got all the extension packs, including pets) but when i create a family, for ex, the skin colour doesn't appear, or even some clothes, it just show a white sim with words written on it, what's going on?? now, this only happens with things( clothes, skins, hairs) from the sims 2 (not from an expansion), and in some ages, like teenagers everything works perfectly. please, help me

    thanx

I can't believe it- I've been having the SAME problem and it's been happening ever since I installed Seasons... I wish I could help you (and help me, too).

I've noticed, though, that for me, this does not happen with teens, young adults, or adults. On my system it's only infants, toddlers, children, and the elderly. I asked this question on a different forum a couple months ago and they suggested it was a custom content incompatibility, but this doesn't make sense because I only have custom content for teens, young adults, and adults (their skins have never had a problem). The skins/clothing that won't work are all Maxis-created. I thought installing Bon Voyage might set something straight, but it's still doing the same thing. I've also downloaded all the patches. Still no luck.

I have downloaded a lot of custom content, but since I disable it in the game, the only things that work are clothes and sometimes recolored objects. I tried enabling them to see if that fixed the problem, but that just caused more issues with gameplay.

I hesitate to uninstall anything, as the last time I did that (even saving the games), I couldn't get to any of the houses from the neighborhood- they just wouldn't load. And I've accumulated a lot of neat clothes and I would hate to try to find them all again or extract them.

I wish I could be of more help... I've tried many things (except for uninstalling and reinstalling, which I'm sure would help the problem- but be a pain in the neck) and they still don't work.

    Good luck!

Some mods need CEP colour enabler for custom content. You can get it at Mod the sims forum. :)

Or meshes with the custom content. My suggestion is to remove the custom content and see if it works >

Click Here to download the CEP at mod the sims 2. I'm not sure that will solve your problem though.

Are you sure that your computer's specs are up to scratch for the sims 2? It sounds like you've had problems with the game before. This could be a grafics card problem. Please post your computer specs here. (See the FAQs for instructions on how to find them. :))
