one silly question Hay I don't wanna sound like a noobie or anything but how the heck are we suppose to know if the baby's a boy or gal ? I just tried to found out on my own but it seems I am thoroughly capable of nothing at this time of the day. Terrible feeling, I swear. Any people in a mood enough good to answer that ? cheers
when the baby is born in the name box will be 'baby boy' or 'baby girl' and then you delete that and fill in the name you want ^_^

Tappergal may have been trying to find out before the birth, sims2. Though, the only way to tell, that I know of, is as darkdragonlover explained.
as I can attest, the birth is completely randomized. If you save just before your sim is about to give birth, then if you don't get the gender you want, quit without saving and go back in. I've found that sometimes, one gender is pretty stubborn, but eventually I'll get the one I want if I really want a household to have a certain gender baby.
Oh yea, that is what i mean, it is randomized therefore i just didnt quite get why this person didnt really know that Hehe dont think im complaining or anything just wandered why this was being asked thats allBut yep thats generally what i was meaning!
== Lol well actually I didn't read "baby boy or gal" i just delete the thang and talked with my friend and then I watched the screen again and thought whops I hope the baby's sex isn't what I just deleted :s Apparently it was. Well I called the baby LOU so it could be for a gal or boy....If you wan I'll tell you his or her sex on further notice oh something else, how many days does it take to a baby to be a kiddo and does the kiddo get to do actions? I said I didn't wanna sound noob....but apparently I am in sims 2 :'( cheers
It takes about 4 days for a new born to become a toddler and yes the toddler is playable but its actions are limited. Adults and teens can interact with it though and teach it to walk, talk and go potty. If you delete the sex next time before looking...just look next to the box. It will either have a circle with a plus sign underneath it (female) or a circle with an arrow attached to it (male). That's how you can tell....assuming you still have the naming box on your screen. Other than that you'll have to wait until it's a toddler (or possibly a child if it ends up wearing a unisex outfit...unless you want to go and buy a few pairs of toddler clothes to test on it). Oh right yes i have done that at times=D they grow really quickly..but sometimes i speed up the game LOL!
