Building tools cursers not showing up... Hi, all. When I go to into building mode, I find that there's very little I can do. The little cursers to edit the terrain, walls, floors etc, don't show up, and nothing happens when I left click. I tried installing a legal copy a friend gave me and then a downloaded one with the same result. Downloading the patch didn't help either. System: AMD Athlon 64 X2 dual Core processor 4000+ 2.01 GHz, 2GB RAM NVIDIA Geforce 7900 GT At first I thought it was something hinky because everything on my computer's 64-bit, but I tried installing in on a friend's slower, older computer and had the same result. Believe it or not, I really need to play the game for homework--I kid you not. I have to draw a 3D store layout, and I thought, hey, maybe for once I can justify all the hours I'm gaming, but right now that doesnt seem to be the case. Any Ideas are appreciated.
Well both cases are actually illegal. The Sims2 is made to disable the build mode if you do not have the CD in drive as a way to prevent piracy. In order for the Sims2 to work on your computer you need to buy your own legal copy.
Really? My friend had one but her build mode still worked fine. But nevermind - shouldn't be talking about illegal stuff But cheeseinacan, if installing the legal copy doesn't work either, then I don't think it's a problem with piracy. But I'm completely clueless on how to solve the problem - have you contacted EA technical help?
