How Do I Uninstall Downloaded Homes I downloaded and installed a couple of homes from mod2sims and didn't like them. I deleted the entire contents of the downloads folder and restarted the game, but the houses still show up in my lots bin. The houses had no hacks or custom content. How do I get them out of my home lots bin?
Do you not just delete? Well i probably downloaded mine differently, not actually through winzip but i have them on my desktop, so i can easily delete or wipe them
Nope, in my case (maybe I'm special) the pictures of the houses and lots would still show in the building lots bin. I fiddled with it to no end then my brother asked me when did I install the houses, I told him the 30th and he searched all folders inside the downloads folder for files created on that date and found the demons. There were files related to the houses and lots in the LotCatalog folder inside the downloads folder. I had to delete files created on the 30th it was 4 of them and I had installed 4 houses that day. The pictures and houses were totally gone then. He also found out that if I just deleted the files in the LotCatalog and not the downloads folder, I could get rid of the houses but keep all the decorating stuff that was used to make the house pretty.
I'm not sure if it's the same in the Lots & Houses bin, but this is how most other custom content can be deleted from within the game... While in the Lots & Houses bin, look for a tiny trash can icon in the lower right corner of the screen. With the house you want to delete selected, click the trash can.
