Can't anybody help me with this issue? At the moment I can't play my favourite game and I have resorted to actually WORKING lol. I really need a hand to get this working if anyone can please help me?? xxxx
Keep in mind that this is a small site and the computer geeks aren't here every day. One thing I notice is that you only have 512mb of system RAM and an older graphics card. You may need to save more frequently to prevent it from freezing and/or crashing, especially if you don't have your graphics set low enough. (The minimum requirements allow people to play, but not at the game's fullest. So, even if you have all the requirements, there are things you may need to do in order to play well.) So, try saving your game every 5 minutes that you play. That should make up for not having a gb or more of RAM. (Even with a gb of RAM people need to save every 20 minutes that they're playing.) Also, make sure that you haven't upped any of the graphics options and are following the "performance tips" that are in the manual which come with the game (basically shutting down all background programs). I used to have that happen on occasion from my virus program deciding to download an update while I was playing. The other thing to look at is if you have something in your downloads folder which is causing a problem. I've had what you mention happen from, in one case, a staircase recolor and in another case where it would do what you mention whenever my Sim would try to buy clothes at the Community lot, from an outfit for male child (which would bollux up things just by the "clothes rack" loading what the Sim might buy.)
Thank you Thanks for the suggestions. I'll try it now. I have considered the downloads issue, but i cut all of my downloads to the desktop to see if that was the problem and it didnt seem to solve it. xxxx
If you've moved your downloads folder to the desktop but still have the issues, then it's not something in that folder (which means at least that you don't have to end up checking everything to see which one it is.) Moving it to the desktop is a quick way to check that. But look into the other things and see if that helps.
