I did! So funny! Couple things that I noticed in the screenshots that I'm already in love with: Looks like there might be a rounded corner option for the pool, the slide for the pool(!), kids playing catch with a baseball in fall, fishing, new country style decorations in the kitchen screenshot, snowball fights, gardening, having to dress appropriately for the weather and firefly catching! I'm in love with this pack already! It looks like it might include more than any of the past ones...I love it! Also I love that they are adding in 6 new careers! Looks like they will be adventurer, gamer, music, law, journalism, and education. I'm already way too excited for this pack!
*sigh* I'm really not excited about this and had convinced myself this would be the EP I didn't buy but I like the new careers so alas I may break down and buy it for that alone. I hope you can turn the weather off though. I don't want it in my game. Cass. EDIT: After looking at the screen shots....maybe it won't be so bad. I do like the look of the new items, like the kitchen.
This actually looks like it may be one of my favourite packs yet!!! I love the idea of sims getting sunburn (I wonder if there'll be a death by solar rays ), and harvesting your own crops again!! That's one thing I missed from the original pets expansion. Alas, no longer will my sims be able to wear skimpy stuff all year round, but from the sounds of it, new clothes!!! And the new career paths, that's awesome. Lightning strikes! Death by lightning strikes as well??? Will you have to mop up rain puddles or will they soak into the ground?? That would be bad. All in all, I'm excited! May have to upgrade my system even!!
Heck, I'm upgrading mine for Pets! I'm asking Santa for a brand new processor. Mine's substandard ... I want this EP! It sounds sooooo cool. Witch Baby and I are drooling.
Heck I'd get the expansion for the new careers and country objects alone. I wonder if you'll be able to farm or garden. Knox Patch was supposed to be a country community to begin with. Edit: Yep, gardening ftw!
The picture whereby the girl was making juice/potion using the blender in the country style kitchen, reminds me much of sims2 makin' magic Im excited! I saw the sunburnt picture and it was hilarious, wonder if it will work on custom skins ... Oh, and someone did mention before the news was released that it would be great if sims dressed according to weather, and looks like that will b featured in the game, else your sims will fall sick
Looks fantastic! I just wonder if it will have any influence on the clothes we've downloaded, as in will it distinguish if they're suitable for the seasons. Hmmm, maybe the coats and such will be added as an accessory instead of a complete outfit. Well, it really doesn't make a difference to me. I'll buy it regardless!
Man, I hope that they port this over to Mac as quickly as they did the Pets EP! I WANT Weather and I want it NOW!
I'm only hoping the weather would not slow my game down, my pc isnt the fastest one around, and with all the custom content in my game, its kinda slow now sometimes
I wasn't too excited about the idea of seasons and weather until I saw all the screenshots of people doing gardening, making juice with a juicer and the like. Now I'm jazzed about it! I want more gardening stuff!
