Hi, Ali. Welcome to Worldsims. Downloads and custom content are lots of fun, once you get the hang of it. I'd suggest using the Search function and asking for threads about Downloads, like this one: http://forums.worldsims.org/showthread.php?t=2938&highlight=Downloads 1) You will need to set up a Downloads folder: My Documents/EA Games/The Sims 2/Downloads. (Make sure you spell Downloads correctly, with a capital D.) 2) Downloads come as either .zip or (more often now) .rar files. I extract them with the Q-Xpress Installer that I found at MTS2, but others swear by the Filemaid. Do a search for that here and you'll get a link for it. 3) You will find downloads that are recolors of objects and clothes already in the game, and then there are objects and clothes that require the downloading of a separate mesh. You'll want to read about those, too, and what's required for them to work. Have fun. p.s. There are some types of files that require special handling. A good download site should provide instruction on how to install them.
