    Sim child still a toddler?!?!

Hey. My child on The Sims 2 just grew from a toddler to kid. Everything was fine until my game FROZE and I had to shut the computer down. When I went back into the game, it said he was a child, but he is now in TODDLER FORM?! He goes to school, plays, dances like a child, takes baths...but he's still a toddler!!! How do I fix this?!

enable the "testingcheats enabled" whatever its called (get it from cheatcc) into the console while in neighborhood and then go into the house and then Shift Click the toddler.

there will be a bunch of buttons and click more.

go to force error, an error will pop up and it will give u 3 options, click reset.

it should reset anything wrong with the sim.

try that, ive had to use it plenty of times.

Okay; I'll clarify that post a little bit. There is a cheat that you can use in the game. Be careful with it though because clicking on the wrong option could screw up your game. But first; before you do any of what's said below make sure you have your game updated with the patch. That might fix everything right off the bat.

First open the cheat box. You can do this by hitting crtl + shift + C at the same time. A box should open on top. Next type: boolprop testingcheatsenabled true Now with your child as the active sim; hold down the shift button and click on your sim. There will be an option that says force error; click that. An error box will now show up and click on reset. It's possible that your sim will then reset itself and look like a child. If so then open the cheat box again and type: boolprop testingcheatsenabled false to turn off the testing cheat.

Now then; all that said, I'm going to guess it actually won't work. I had this happen to my game as well when I started playing; except that mine was a baby that transitioned into a toddler but when it glitched my toddler still behaved like a baby and it wouldn't do anything on it's own. I tried several options such as the boolprop cheat listed above as well as turning on "moveobjects on" and then deleting my sim but the sim still wasn't right. Finally I ended up downloading the insiminator (do a google search for insiminator; you'll find it). That basically enabled a bunch of the cheats without having to worry about screwing up your game.

Once you have that downloaded find it in the electronics section (then misc). It only costs 1 simolean to purchase so you'll sim will be able to buy it and it looks like the medical aspiration career reward. Put it on your lot anywhere. With your problem sim as the active on click on the far left side of the insiminator. There should be an option that will allow you to change the age of the sim. Change your sim to any age...child probably won't be available since it's technically already a child...so maybe select toddler. Your child will then be a toddler again in behavior.

Now, go back to the same option and click on the age of child and your sim should grow up into a child. His memories will be a little screwed up because he'll think he grew up twice; but that's okay, it shouldn't effect the game and your child will actually look like a child. I'd then delete the insiminator just so you don't have an eyesore on your lawn (and you get your dollar back so it doesn't matter if you keep it or not). That's the only way I could end up fixing my sim.
