Timewarp Tribulation (Time stops between Home/Community transport) Three shiny silver coins to the person who can explain to me how one of my Sims can head off into town from home and the time is, for example, 3pm, spend four hours meeting his mistress in town (have to keep away from the nest at home of course) and then return home and the time has gone back to 3pm. He's shattered. Before the University moved into town he didn't have this problem. He went into town. Had sex with his mistress in the changing booth, went home and went to sleep. Now he has two women wanting sex (they both like it late-afternoon) and his energy bar simply can't cope. Have the gits at ABC taxis installed some kind of elaborate time-altering device? Right, so in English, before I installed University this wasn't an issue. Now it is. Sims leave the home lot, spend time in town and when they come back their needs have been screwed but the time has reverted back to what it was at the moment they left the home lot. I have all expansions (up to Pets) except the stuff packs. I have patched all my games but no luck. The only thing I can think of is that I installed the games in a funny order because I had to format the PC. Like this: Original, then Pets, then Open for Business, then University then Nightlife. Could this be it? So three shiny silver coins to whoever can explain and another shinier silver coin to the person who can fix my problem. Cheers, Anz
The time is actually supposed to stay the same at home. If you leave at 3pm it should still be 3 pm at home once you get back...I know, kind of screwy. However, if you have a family and send one sim off to a community lot then the other sims are still good to leave since their time doesn't go on and you know that they won't be getting into any trouble. Your best bet would be to use the aspiration reward; "The Eclectic and Enigimatic Energizer." Just make sure your sim is in at least gold mood and stick him/her in it and refreshes all his/her needs to green. As far as I know there isn't anyway to change the timing on the home lots because of all the potential problems that could occur. Such as someone aging/being born/dying when you aren't in their home lot.
Sorry for Wasting Your Time Wow, really? ****, sorry for wasting your time. That is so like me though. I've been playing this game intermittently since the day it was first released and I haven't noticed that. Heh. I suck at life. I'm sure you probably already know this but if, for whatever reason, you did need to change the time at any point during game play just open up the cheat console with Shift+Cntrl+C and type: (where 13 is the hour you want on a 24-hr clock; it's case sensitive too) Obviously it doesn't alter the mood or anything but I just found out the info on my travels.
