Windowed Mode. I have a simple question. In several places, it says that the Sims 2 for Mac supports Windowed Mode. I've looked around, and still can't find it. Where is it?
I have never found a way to play Sims 2 in Windowed mode. However, one really nice feature of the game is that you can move in and out of it really easily without quitting, which is almost as good as windowed mode. To do so, simply hold down the Control Key (Apple Key) and press H (for "Hide"), and the game disappears. When you want to get back into the game, simply click the Sims 2 Icon on the dock, and you're back in business! Warning: Just be sure you pause before hiding the game, because I believe it continues playing if you don't. And to really be safe, SAVE the game before hiding it! Also, since you can eject the Sims 2 Disk, once the game is up and running, you can continue to hop in and out of the game until you actually log out of your Mac! And since, if you are like me, you rarely do that, but simply put your mac to sleep most of the time, you can continue to play the game without having to reload the disk for days or even weeks at a time! (Try THAT on a Windows machine!)
The Solution. I found the solution. Press Command when you start the game, it will let you choose how to do it.
Thanks for the tip, Javenic. I will have to try that next time I re-load the game, to see if I like that better than just hiding the game...
