Help, Sims 2 crashes after the starting slpash screen...I AM AT WITS END!!!!!!!!!!!

I'll start from the beginning... I got the Sims 2 (ORIGINAL) for the PC and ill have to admit this...I pirated it...(I know, its wrong but i don't want to take ANOTHER chance of buying a game that doesn't work for my computer.. EX: Battlefield 2) ok, when I finished downloading, I mounted the .cue files (there were also .ccd files too) and I installed it perfectly...Now here's when the story gets real sh***y, I start the game, but "the sims 2" splash screen comes up and then the screen turns black..then all of a sudden a stupid, gay, @ZZ error, "This application has crashed, this application will terminate" comes up.."

    My Specs are here:

I don't know what else to do, and im goin at my wits end, and NO you don't have to tell me that pirating is wrong, i know, im trying not to buy something that i can't use and then when I try to trade it in I only get $2 for it...And yes, I did uninstall and reinstalled...Please help!!!!!!!!!!:):):D

Hmm... well firstly, pirating is wrong and this thread will be closed as soon as a TS2 mod sees it.

I don't know what the laws are in your country but if the product does not work as advertised then you should be able to return it for the full price back.

However I will say this, the splash screen is where the CD is checked if it's in the drive and it sounds like it's crashing there, maybe buying the game will help.
