Help, Sims 2 crashes after the starting slpash screen...I AM AT WITS END!!!!!!!!!!!

I'll start from the beginning... I got the Sims 2 (ORIGINAL) for the PC and ill have to admit this...I pirated it...(I know, its wrong but i don't want to take ANOTHER chance of buying a game that doesn't work for my computer.. EX: Battlefield 2) ok, when I finished downloading, I mounted the .cue files (there were also .ccd files too) and I installed it perfectly...Now here's when the story gets real sh***y, I start the game, but "the sims 2" splash screen comes up and then the screen turns black..then all of a sudden a stupid, gay, @ZZ error, "This application has crashed, this application will terminate" comes up.."

I don't know what else to do, and im goin at my wits end, and NO you don't have to tell me that pirating is wrong, i know, im trying not to buy something that i can't use and then when I try to trade it in I only get $2 for it...And yes, I did uninstall and reinstalled...Please help!!!!!!!!!!
