Losing OFB stuff when installing other EPs. Help :( Hey guys this is my first post, im hoping that someone here will be able to help me out. I have installed The SIMS 2 Then i installed The Sims Open For Business ( and it worked fine ) Then i installed The Sims Pets and i get an warning sayin that if i continue i would lose all my stuff from Open For Business, and when i continue playing sims 2 pets i dont have any of my business stuff. Same thing happens when i install Glamour Stuff... my business stuff is all gone :S it hasnt been uninstalled but somehow disabled... Has anyone had any similar problems? Any on know how to solve it? Thankssss
I'm not sure what is happening with this. Hopefully others will answer now that it's in the better section and with a more descriptive title. (Nondescriptive titles like "Help" are not a good idea. People don't want to have to guess what you might need help with, since most people aren't good at everything.)
If you have saved games, take your entire TS2 folder out of My Documents/EA Games and put it on the desktop. *Then* install the other EP. When you go to play, delete the TS2 folder that the install put in there and replace it with saved TS2 folder. That should keep you from losing stuff due to installs. Putting the TS2 folder on your desktop (or in some other folder) is considered a "backup" to your game. It's a good idea to keep a recent backup where you can get to it in case you have any sort of game problem. That way you don't lose so much if there's a corruption or you have to do an uninstall, reinstall or new install.
