No Hair, No Body Hello, Well, does somebody know this problem (see attached thumbnails)? As you see on the screens sometimes you can see clothes., but no hair. But mostly the clothes aren't working too. And when I try to make a new family the game crash. Also when you wanna take a look in the mirror for new hair the game crash, Its so frustrating. I already install the newest driver. System: Ati 800 x, 1 Gb Ram.
Er you might try tweaking down your graphics detail settings. The game uses a big chunk of that 1GB of ram but how much video memory do you have on that ati card? Look at your screen resolution 1280*1024 mean each screen full of pixels might need 3 or 4 megabytes of data ... Sims are built up from bits and pieces drawn from caches and to avoid every error breaking the flow the game is apt to steamroller over minor bloopers like Don "I ain't got no-boooody" Lothario, there. Looking in the mirror is sure to cause problems though if the system is already chugging ... a crash is gonna happen quite often. Solution? 1. Live with it 2. Reduce your desktop settings to 1024*768 (it'll look horrible if you have a large monitor screen 3. Reduce the game's graphics display settings a notch 4. Play the game in Windowed mode keeping the window size so you can see a centimetre of destop all around. 5. Add 1 or 2 GB of extra RAM AND replace your ati card with something that has at least 512MB of memory People should remember that massive computer screens are only as good as the equipment that delivers the picture down that fat black cable. I wouldn't swap my 15" 1024*768 LCD Sony for a bigger one of any type.
