walls in sims 1 vs sims 2 so for sims 1, when you click on a sim, usually the wall bt you (the viewer) and that sim is cut off, but the wall behind the sim is still there. this way, you get the full effect of the room. for sims 2, if you have the cut wall option on, all the walls are cut away except for the walls around the house. is there a hack or a cheat or something i can do to make it like sims 1.. just cut the walls in front of the sim? and not every wall? we'd get more of an effect of the colors of the walls. you know what i mean?
I do know what you mean. The difference lies in the way that TS2 views the world/ With TS1 the camera was fixed so the game engine had less trouble working out which walls to take down. TS2 makes this much more difficult, but becasue you can get in much closer it is not considered to be a problem. Try using the free camera mode when you want to get in closer for photo opportunites. To enter free camera mode press the [TAB] key and then Q/E is up down A/D is left/right W/S is forward/back Z/X zoom in/out
Isn't there a camera setting in the game where you can set it to the Sims 1 type camera? I don't know what it does because I'm so in love with the Sims 2 camera action. But if I remember, I'll look at it tonight when I play the game.
