It would be nice to see simgames.net made in PHP

if you want to use the forums for the news you would need php (and MySQL)

and even I can help with the PHP

I'm going to use coranto with a phpBB extension to make it work with phpBB. I really don't see any need to convert the site over to php and mysql at this point. The site is currently very simple, and adding extra requirements to having it function seems pointless.

Coranto is still my favorite news manager of all time, so I'm most comfortable with a news system based on it, plus I can trust the active addon community for any kind of extensions to coranto's functionality that I ever need in the future. :)

    Wow

Alowee, that is cool, u own e-mail system. Man, I thought our internal mail system for utopia was cool, but that is better!

    I got to say...

    George Goldberg (or something)
did the layout and the first version....
but it was so bad.... index.php?page=../../../../../../etc/shadow
    did work....

So I realeased version 2, with smileys, ubb codes, quick reply and more....

the last version even had a 'users online' but was a bad idea... (to much queries..)
I also had a notification system that check all users if they want to get a mail, then sets that message to 'mailed' and check again...
I've seen a slow site, with 100 queries..

so thats fixed to a better system now :)

Yeah I really wanted to use Coranto but no one could get it working for me. Allowee couldn't get it to work either :( I doubt anyone has heard of it but I love ApexNews (www.apexnews.net) :)
