Todler hair -- big problem! Helloo! :wave: :shy: I've seen everywhere that people are using different hairstyles for todlers but in my game all the todlers that my sims have given birth to (not the ones that I created in Create-A-Sim) have the same boring old hair -- and it's not even nice hair, it's one of the boringest hairs there is to choose from! So I'm wondering how do people do it? How do their todlers get cool hair? Is there some kind of cheat or do you have to fix it in Body Shop? (please don't tell me that you fix it in BS cos I don't get it ) And what annoys me even more is that the todler on the back of the Sims 2 cover hasn't got the ordinary, boring born todler hair. :grumpy: How do you do it? :irked: Looking forward to answers! :dopey: :innocent:
I don't know about anyone else, but I use the "Change appearance of..." option which came with OFB using the mirrors. Prior to OFB, one was stuck with whatever hair the toddler was born with (generally the Maxis nearly bald one or the short tight curly hair one). People who had toddlers with other hairstyles (prior to OFB) probably either made them in Create a Family or BodyShop.
Well you could always download toddler hair. If you download normal hair, the toddler hair for that download will be unique. Thus, different toddler hair.
Yeah, you see I've tried that but it doesn't really work. Do you click on the todler and then on a mirror? Cos I can't remember that working in my game Oh and to the other dude that answered: smart! I never really thought about downloading todler hair lol. Yeah, I'm not very clever when it comes to these computer things haha.
No, an adult, elder or a teen has to change the toddler's hair. But this only works if you have Open For Business or newer (pets/seasons). Select an adult/elder/teen and click on the mirror "change appearence of (toddlers name)". They will then go pick up the toddler if they aren't already holding him/her and bring them to the mirror. Then the change appearence screen comes up and away you go!
I've got Pets and I'm going to buy Seasons soon so that's a relief! Cos I haven't got Open for Business, I was thinking "oh great I'm not going to be able to change my todlers hair!" but then I read the bit that you could have pets too, thank goodness! And that explains why I couldn't do it before because I was playing on NL when I tried it last time! Thanks 'preciate it!

if yer couple naturally was given cool hair (not restyled) and you have a lot of hair choices/varieties to choose from, and that those hair styles have a model for toddlers as well, then the chances are high to gain the toddler a 'cool' hair style. i would usually get the BORING hair when one of hte parent naturally was born with that BORING hair lol. Same goes for the 'cool' (I would rather say custom >_>) hair. the Maxis hair styles that they have implemented into the game, the cool hair are likely not available for toddlers and children, but rather to teens, young adults, and adults, and elders. So yeah, just think of it as a genetic approach.
Actually, there is a pretty cool pink custom hair (that you get with the game) for a child but it's only the girls that can have that one.
