    Nvidia woes status

Just curious, has anyone heard or seen and recent info on the Sims 2/Nvidia issues? I can barely play Seasons without the game freezing. I have used the shaders cheat, but the game still freezes when it snows.

Hopefully they will come up with a fix for this.

I got a new Dell in October/November last year with a, what I thought at the time, was a fantastic Nvidia card. HA! It hated sims. No matter what upgraded drivers I used. Dell came out and installed a new one. Still nothing. So, I sent the graphics card back and bought a Raedon. No problems since.

Here's a thread about my trials and tribulations with aforementioned graphics card:

I am currently running a Geforce 6600. Up until Seasons I never had the game freeze or crash. I currently have all the Sims 2 expansions but not any of the content packs.

I did a google search and came upon a forum thread in MTS2 where someone said that EA and Nvidia have said that they are aware that the Sims 2 has compatability issues with Nvidia cards and that they were working on a solution. This was about a month ago, hence my post seeking to see if there is an update on this.
