    SimPE

    Hi everybody !!!

Ok, I have just one more doubt about the package files.

In SimPE, when you open a neighborhood package file, there's these 3 groups: "3D ID Referencing Files", "Binary Index" and "Collection".

I want to know if there's any data about the townies inside any or all of these categories. I think these categories are just for objects and clothing, but I have to be sure, please.

I already deleted the townies in all the other categories, such as "wants and fears", "textfiles" (of each of the families), "description", "family", "family ties", etc..., but I must know if I still have to edit the package in the 3 categories I mentioned above. Please, I'm just waiting for this to continue to edit all the other things, such as the universities and so on :).

    Byes !!!

Ok, I figured everything I needed by myself already during yesterday and this morning (my local time). Already tested to find problems, like "maid not showing", etc..., and the game is fine.

    Thanks.

LOL I kinda kept quiet hoping you'd get that eerie "there's nobody here but us geeks" feeling and find the answers yourself :p If you're not careful you may get yourself saddled with the responsibility of being our resident SimPE expert.

hehehe, maybe :). It's very easy indeed, you just have to delete all the families in simpe, load the game, type "deleteallcharacters" in each hood, then reload each hood in-game again so the game itself will delete all the non-usefull data about these deleted characters, like the 3D referencing files for example, then you just have to reload SimPE and delete the leftovers, like "Sims Descriptions" and "Textfiles". The only family listed in all my hoods now is the "Default" one, and it has only 15 members (death, new year, last year, etc...), so it is a very clean package file, and it will generete hkeepers, nannies, neighborhood's pets, etc... as needed, and there'll be no trace the default sims even existed :). The only thing that concerns me is that some members of this default family are presented as "unknow" in SimPE, but I think, since the game is normally running, that the game will know who they are. Maybe this is because SimPE isn't seasons ready yet, I don't know.

The game is running normally, only a few things are happening differently, like a male housekeeper with pink shirt and pink gloves. I've never seen it before, but the game generated him when I was testing hiring a hkeeper. I've only met the stantard male hkeeper, which weares a blue shirt and blue gloves. But that's ok, it's not a bug or a glitch :).

Thanks for that link but I had already figured everything out :). Now I'll furnish the unfurnished default homes, and give a little touch in the ones that had families, like, PC and phone where there has none of them, etc... :).

I'm used to find things out myself, really, about everything in the computer world. Windows, Flight Simulator and Grand Prix are my specialties. But it's good to have someplace to find help. I think I am so anxious to finally play TS2 that I couldn't wait for the answers, so here it is, my save directory ready for new made Sims and houses. Like I said, I bought seasons two weeks ago and haven't seriously played it yet, so I'm crazy to go for it. But I always have to invent something in my head that gets in my way... hehehe. That's me. So now I'll have to make tons of families to live in all these homes, only then I'll be able to play. Last week I deleted my HD partition more than 6 times... I have always to configure my PC to what I think is a perfect conditioned system... and now this TS2 thing I invented... So I'm really anxious to finally play seasons.

    Thanks again Mirelly !!!
