Ok, so I was playing with the Ottomas family, just for something to do, when the mum gave birth to twins. At the time, one of Grans wants was to have a grandchild. Well, mum had twins and the want didn't roll.

At first I thought it was a minor glitch, but when mum had another bub (number 6), the want for Gran rolled over. I looked back over the family tree and Gran apparently only has 4 grandkids. I then looked at the family tree for the twins, and apparently their parents are Samantha Ottomas and Patricia Wan.

First of all, huh? I thought same sex partnerships had to adopt kids, or have a doner? Even then the family tree would recognise the male as the father. Also, according to mum's memory, the first time her an dad had woo hoo was when baby number 6 was created. Apparently the first 3 were the immaculate conception.

Just some weird stuff I noticed. Doesn't really affext gameplay or anything, just thought I'd see if it was the same for anyone else.

    Allie.

LOL That's why she had to die in my game

The Ottomas family is very badly bugged with all sorts of malarkey present. They should definitely only be used for pointing at and laughing at because they are no darn good for incorporating to a serious legacy or an otherwise happy and stable neighborhood.

The Samantha Ottomas had twins in my game too, but the father is a Jaden whoever, who's a downtownie. I made him take the babies and now he's in my Sim Bin waiting for a prospective honey to raise his illegitimate children (since the fellow is a Romance Sim...seems appropriate, no?). I did not realize that this was a glitch. Then again, the babies did NOT look like Samantha's husband (didn't even have the same skintone!).

Hence why I make my own families..... they may not be any better than the premades, but by god, they're mine, and i can enjoy their ugly kids.

Haha lol! That's right though, some of the sims get really ugly kids - and I mean FREAKY kids! But that only happens to me when I make a sim and then make that sim have babies with another sim that I haven't made. But sheesh, it's unbelieveble how ugly sim kids can get lol! :)

Actually, mostly my made sims (especially if they're both really good looking) produce the ugliest kids.

I downloaded a sim who looked good in the pictures and OK in the game, though I had to modify him quite a bit. His kids are fugly. I posted pictures somewhere of the chinless little beasts.

So, one way to get ugly kids is to go nuts in Body Shop. I hate that it doesn't translate to the game. What's the point? In-game CAS should have all the features of the Body Shop one, and we should just be able to package sims like we can houses. Save Body Shop for clothes and genetics only .... anyone listening from Maxis? Sims 3 improvement, right there.

As for immaculate conception, I think all the premade couples purposely don't have first woohoo as a memory. I think it's just easier to program them with no memories other than the standard set.

For example, Regan Capp and her husband had their first woohoo when I played them and they had four kids already. No more for them, though. Their two youngest are OK looking but the two oldest, not so much.

I agree with Kimblee. If I'm going to raise ugly kids I want them to be come by honestly. What is it with Maxis? Even Romeo isn't that cute. As an adult he's got a honker that just won't quit. I think he's OK, but certainly not what I pictured Romeo to look like. And I know they CAN make cute sims because there are a couple of them in the game.

And what's with the meanies? If they were at least nice people I wouldn't mind marrying them quite so much. There are maybe three nice premade sims in the whole game. And they're the ugliest of the bunch.

And oh, if I can add a rant? Did I HAVE to have the Ottomas' and Cyd Roseland in EVERY FREAKING HOOD? And why can't Kat and the Kim's house just be in the bin? They're really cool houses. I didn't realize, when I plopped them into one of my smaller hoods, that that was the only place they'd appear.

Maxis got it backwards. ONE time people, SEVERAL times houses. I'm so sick of seeing the same darned sims in every neighborhood ... maybe with Sims 3 we'll get to choose, townies or no townies, and maybe different sets of them?
