Troubleshooting sims 2 expansion packs does not work

sims 2 expansion packs does not work

heyho everyone!

My sims 2 works well . When I tried to install any of expansion packs it just does not work no more. The intro movie shows up but then it just crashes and error shows up!

I also tried to uninstall my expansion packs without reinstalling sims2 but the error was still there.

Anyone knows whats the problem??
the game and expansion packs are ISO files (dvd rom)

3) xp
4) 40 gb free
5) 120 gb total
6) direct x nr 9
7) NVIDIA geforce 2 mx/mx 400, i guess 128 mb. i forgot is it128 or 256

 

looks to me like a copy protection issue. I see you run Daemon Tools

LOL le, My thoughts exactly. You need to be running the game from a normal install by a shiny plastic disc in an optical drive.

 

What Jill_Valentine has said and deleted because she thought she might be banned for what she said (though she wouldn't have been) is this:

The game can be run from virtual images. Some virtual drive softwares are better than others. Nothing however can change the fact that a lot of dishonest people use illegal pirate copies downloaded from disreputable sources (or shared on burned DVD roms in playgrounds, behind bushes and in bedrooms that smell of sweaty socks).

No accusations are being made by me. And none were made by Jill. Your honesty is not our business or concern. We're not asking and we don't care what the answer is if you give one ... how would know truth from non-truth? The answer is irrelevant.

The thing is that neither EA Games nor Maxis support the use of disc image files for playing their games. Using the tools is not illegal! Just don't ask for advice or help with them from us. Go to the software maker.

Remember that your problem is NOT with The Sims 2 and its expansions, it it with whatever mods and hacks you have applied. Get your help from the supllier of the mods and hacks.
