Sims 2 Pets...PROBLEMS!!! I am having a problem with my sims pets. It is the cats, when they use the litter box sometimes they get stuck. I think it is a glitch or something, but what happens is the cat uses the litter box and it wont move, it just sits there and then all of its needs bars goes down, like it is starving, and then the police come and take my animals away.. does anyone know why this is, how it can be fixed, or anything??!? I am really bummed out that I am losing my pets! Hope you can help...
Is it the litter tray position. I've not watched my sims cats in detail but I notice that sims in general like to access an object from one direction and then use a different direction to egress. Eg dining chairs are a good example. Try moving the tray to a different more open position. If you have a cat stuck that you want to shift enter debug mode: Press [Ctrl] + [Shift] +[C] then type in: boolProp testingCheatsEnabled True then hold down the shift key and click on the stuck cat and find the option "force error" click it and choose the option "Reset" If the force option error is not found, don't panic ... Shift-Click the Litter tray instead and force the error on that. Remember to turn off debug afterward: boolProp testingCheatsEnabled false If this keeps happening then you need to site the litter tray in a different place or download Pescado's stuck object remover (search the web for that) which allows you delete invisible tokens that make square unusable. One good way to find out if you the remover is to make sure the moveobjects cheat is off (enter moveObjects off to be sure it is set to off) and try placing objects around the litter box. If any squares are off-limits and you can't see why, you need the remover).
I think that's happened to me once but I can't remember what I did about it. I think I used the moveObjects on cheat but I don't know... Try it if Mirely's idea doesn't work (but it probably will) :classic:
