    going postal

Of course I had just finished furnishing a new house for my brother and sister paid, the Sangrias, when the mailman went postal. He goes around and around the box, delivering the mail again and again and again. All day long, all night long. No interaction possible. Looks pretty funny when I speed up time or the siblings are asleep!

I finally gave up and moved them out, but the mailman is still there at the empty lot, going around and around. I am loathe to 'move objects' with him, as this is a dangerous act. I wonder if bulldozing the house would help?

Yes, go ahead and bulldoze the lot. I'm surprised you can even see any action if no one lives there ... It's definitely buggy and getting rid of it is a good idea.

I do that all the time with my game. My lots crash more than I'd like.

Go ahead and use moveObjects on/off. I use it regularly and it has never messed up my game...except for when I tried to delete a sim...

The only problem with moveobjects is that occasionally you will find that a moved sim becomes frozen because his landscape has changed. A common example is moving an occupied single bed. For Maxis only knows what reason, a sim can only get out of a single bed on the same side they got in. If you turn the bed around so the side they got in from is against a wall they'll stay there forever ...
