The Sims 2 University Installation Error!! Plz Help!

k so I have had this problem for close to 2 years now!
I have The Sims 2 installed, as well as Nightlife, and Open For Business.
They Work fine! I did get an Installation error messages with one or two of those... think it only gave me an error for the sims2.. so I went to EA.com, Support I think it was.. and did the following..
Created a New Folder in my Documents.. Named it -Disk Images-
Opened it, made four folders, named them -Disk1- and -Disk2- -Disk3- -Disk4-
Put in my Game CD rom, opened it up.. Copied the contents from disk one and put em in to my Disk1 folder, same for disk 2. This Helped and made my Sims 2 install properly. So I went back to EA Support and it says.. do the same for The Sims University..because I got the same error message.. So I made the -DiskImages_ Folder again.. with only -Disk1- and -Disk2-.
All goes well until it gets to TSBin's "Sims2EP1"...<-- This just will not transfer!

Here's the error Message I get..

-An Problem Occurred When Trying to transfer the file 'D:\TSBin\Sims2EP1.exe' From The media.-

    My System has the Following.

    Processor : AMDAthlon(tm) 64 Processor 3500+, MMX, 3dNow, ~2.2GHz

    Memory: 958MB RAM

Page File: 330MB Used, 2067 available

    DirectX Version: DirectX 9.0c

My computer is new, which is why I'm giving University another try!
I also just had a memory upgrade!
Please if anyone can take the time to help! If you Can!!
Please do so!!! I think I'm cursed by Sims error Messages for real.
    TY!!!

Sorry, but can you clear something up for me. Is the EP1 error occuring when you try to copy the disk to the hard disc (make a disc image for)?

To be honest if you're having trouble installing onto a new PC (after having similar problems with a previous PC) it sounds more like a damaged/faulty disc than a hardware/software issue.

My Sims 2 University is what's giving me the error.
I would say maybe the disc isn't in good condition and maybe that's why but It gave me the same error message when I first purchased it.
I tried about 10 times when i bought it and it's been kept in it's case since.
    It's pretty much new.

I had a friend who had the same error message and she got it to work on hers, just I never got a chance to ask her what she did.

TY for taking the time to reply!!! Plz Reply again! lol

Well I would see if you can replace the disc, because it sounds damaged (especially as you say it's not in perfect condition)

no lol, I mean, I somewhat thought it could have maybe had been the disc that was messed up,damaged, but it's brand new!! In Perfect Condition!
Sorry, the way I said it at first kinda seemed like i ment It was damaged but I ment, While trying to make university install, I figured the only other thing it could have been was that it was damaged, and it isn't.

I've looked all over!! and no one has this same problem, and again, it did the same thing when I first got it!

    :(
